Examples of Undergraduate Dissertation Projects

  • The incidence of Angiostrongylus Vasorum in the snail populations of Chester.
  • Does breed influence personality of rabbits?
  • Comparison of techniques used to detect faecal parasites in New World Camelids (NWCs) .
  • Assessment of the relationship of bovine bull bodyweight, scrotal circumference and age as parameters for productive ejaculate quality for artificial insemination.
  • Thermal image analysis of facial expression os sheep with footrot and mastitis.
  • Current attitudes of farmers towards pain and the use of analgesics in sheep.
  • Effect of enclosure design on the welfare of backyard chickens.
  • What are the interactions between mouth grade, body condition scores, body weight and causes of death in the common donkey (Equus asinus).
  • An observational study to investigate the effects of farm husbandry, individual cow factors and teat hygiene protocols on somatic cell counts on four commercial dairy farms.
  • Development of a canine facial expression scale to quantify pain and stress in dogs with brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS).
